MAPLETON—Clyde H. Mulvaney, 77, of Mapleton, died at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday, February, 24, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Born July 22, 1932 in Peoria County, a son of Arthur and Esther Jacobson Mulvaney, Clyde married Leona R. Look July 17, 1954 in Peoria County. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steven (Darlene) Mulvaney of Frankfort, Indiana, Dennis (Debra) Mulvaney of Metamora; one daughter, Sheila Mulvaney of Peoria; one brother, Glen (Annette) Mulvaney of Norwood; two sisters, Lorraine Smallberger of Bartonville, Dorothy Garner of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Patrick Mulvaney, Amy Doman, Joseph Mulvaney, Jason Mulvaney, Rachel Murdock; twelve great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by two brothers.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Clyde was a truck driver for DLM Trucking in Metamora last working Wednesday. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc where he worked for 19 years. He also had worked at Chris Hoerr and Sons in East Peoria. He owned and operated Mulvaney Television and Radio for 30 years and owned and operated Mulvaney Trucking.
He enjoyed Farm and Auto Shows and working on the family farm.
Private graveside services will be Monday, March 1, 2010 at Swan Lake Memory Garden Mausoleum. Byrl Murdock will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the mausoleum. The Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018.
