Peoria --- Marilyn V. Bown, 59, of Peoria, died at her residence at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010.
Born Feb. 7, 1951 in Peoria, a daughter of George and Helen Lundholm Laible, she married Michael D. Bown on Aug. 24, 1991 in Morton, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving is one step-daughter, Melanie Bown of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Carolyn Laible of Lacon; and one brother, Norman (Ruth) Laible of Duluth, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn had worked as a medical intensive care registered nurse at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 37 years, last working in December 2009.
A member of both the national and local Association of Critical Care Nurses, she also held memberships in Peoria North Camp of Gideon's International, and New Life Riders chapter of Christian Motorcyclists Assoc.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, of which she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Ben Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria, and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
