DUNLAP- LaDonna J. Wanack, 72, of Dunlap, died at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center Emergency Room in Peoria. She was born February 4, 1937 in Peoria to Edwin N. and Hazel C. Harding Anderson. She married Norman R. Wanack, July 18, 1959 at Mt. Olive Missionary Church in Peoria, he survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Janelle M. (fiancé, Todd Dunlap) Wanack of Bartlett, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
LaDonna was a graduate of Bradley University, where she is a member of SAI Sorority.
She taught English and Spanish at Timber Hollis High School from 1959 until 1966. She was a teacher at SEPCO for twenty years, retiring in 2002.
LaDonna had a great love for music.
She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap, where services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009 also at her church. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
