PEORIA HEIGHTS- Joyce A. Miller, 79, of Peoria Heights, died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at her residence.
Born December 30, 1929 in Royalton, a daughter of Arthur B. and Hallie J. Roland Watts, she married Claucine "Connie" Miller on August 9, 1947 in Carterville. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1998 in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and one son, Larry Miller.
Surviving are four daughters, Karen (Ron) Durham of
Bartonville, Claudia (Randall) Wilson of Mackinaw, Brenda (Steven) Hanshaw of Princeville, and Martha (Tony) Presley of Peoria Heights; one son, Steven (Kelly) Miller of Peoria Heights; one daughter-in-law, Karen Miller of Peoria Heights; nine grandchildren, Michael (Chris) Smallberger of Peoria, Amy (Dave) Loewy of Mackinaw, Brian (Amanda) Smallberger of Peoria Heights, Ashley (Jake) Whittaker of Mahomet, Lisa Presley of East Peoria, Dawn Presley of Creve Coeur, Jeffrey Hanshaw and Jeremy Hanshaw both of Rockford, and Kierra Miller of Peoria Heights; great grandchildren, Sarah Loewy, Nick Loewy, Michael Smallberger Jr., Bradley Smallberger, Wyatt Smallberger, Breanne Smallberger, Alex Smallberger, and Katelyn Smallberger; and three dogs, Tiny Sue, Jo Jo, and Penny.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed family, Elvis, roses, and NASCAR Racing.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Pastor Tim Barnes will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
