EAST PEORIA – Helen Louise Hardin, 89, of East Peoria, died at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born September 2, 1920, in Peoria to Eustace Denzil and Mary Helen Aylesworth Hinderliter. She married William A. Hardin on November 19, 1937, in Paducah, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1990 in Chillicothe.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are her children, Russell W. Hardin of Lakeview, Arkansas, Margaret Ann (Allan) Cumming of Dahinda, and Bettie (Tom) Spillman of East Peoria; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
All "Her children shall rise up and call her blessed." (Prov.31:28)
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. The Rev. Douglas Lightly will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Grace Alive.
