Ruth Thompson, 88, died on February 6th in Raleigh, NC.
She was born in Beason, IL, the daughter of Fred A. and Alva Carlson Zaepfel. Ruth grew up in Peoria and graduated from Central High School in 1939.
Ruth is survived by sons Edward R. (Jane) Broadstone of Ft. Myers, FL, Paul A. (Pam) Broadstone of Chattanooga, TN; and Richard V. (Elaine) Broadstone of Raleigh, NC. Ruth was a devoted grandmother to Christopher, Catherine, Lauren, Peter, Paul, and Russ Broadstone.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Broadstone; her second husband Joe Thompson and her brother Vernon Zaepfel.
Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010 in Swan Lake Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The Rev. Linda Richard will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
